What If Customers Don't Trust You?
February last year, I had to go to Enugu for some personal matters. I would lodge in a hotel and since I had never been to Enugu, I resorted to finding a hotel online.
I'm not sure Trivago existed then.
After some frustrating stretch of search, I found this hotel that seemed to fit my budget and yet had this beautiful look.

I called the number on the web page, and a baritone poured in from the other end. We spoke. I told him I was booking for the next night. He advised I paid that night. I asked for the hotel account number. He sent me a personal account number. His voice was so convincing that I almost sent it. I called him back on a second thought and asked him one simple question.
"Why should I trust you?"
His reply was, "Trust me. I'm the manager".
I dropped the call and stopped my online hotel search. I had had enough internet for the day.
Making money is hard enough. Parting with it is even harder. Trust level is low.
What are your strategies for helping your prospects trust you, especially if you run an online business?
Do you feel entitled to their trust?
Is your pride hurt when they do not trust you?
I know that entrepreneurs have lost more jobs from lack of trust than from other factors.
You'll do well to take brand trust seriously.
Its the heart of your hustle.
There are too many fraudsters and 'lie lie' marketers already.
